He Is A Frienemy Of Mine
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu never misses an opportunity to embarrass President Biden and his administration. As far as the Biden Administration is concerned, Netanyahu is what one would call a frienemy, not a true and reliable Ally. Netanyahu has repeatedly dismissed, belittled, ridiculed, or humiliated President Biden in front of the World community. It appears that true friendship, in the relationship with Netanyahu, is just a one-way affair.
At the United Nations today, President Joe Biden said a 21-day ceasefire across the Israel-Lebanon had been “endorsed by the United States, Australia, Canada, European Union, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar.”
At the same time, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave the green light for his government to engage with the US efforts, he ordered a massive bombing campaign in Beirut that targeted Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s central headquarters.
Israel’s assignation attempt or murder of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah ended all ceasefire talks between Israel and Lebanon. It appears that sabotaging the ceasefire against the U.S. wishes was intentional. Politically speaking, this action by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu only benefits one U.S. presidential candidate, Donald J. Trump.
